For everyone who cannot make it out to the bus to “Taste the Love”, we are putting some of our signature recipes on the web for you to try at home. Chef Andi went head to head with me on the making of the Red Velvet Cheesecake, it was a battle and things got ugly. It was not easy! Thanks to the amazing work from the guys at Arbroath films (www.arhunger.com) for making this happen; the reality is none of this would have been possible without their amazing work on this.
So it dawned on us last week when we are parked on a street with 12 other trucks that the reason we have a Bustaurant is so we don’t have to park on the street with 12 trucks. We can go where people have not experienced the World Fare love. This is a double edged sword, you leave the safe comfort of people who enjoy eating at food trucks and you venture out to stops where food trucks have not been seen.
We have been expanding where we go and what we do. Last night we were at the Santa Monica Pier for the twilight concert series; cheese plates, Saturday we will be at Bergamont station (one of the best date locations on the Westside). Lunches have been interesting we did a stop in Playa Vista we will definitely be back, Santa Monica pier was mainly tourists and we realized this trend is yet to hit mainstream, it is very much a large US city phenomenon.
3 weeks ago when the Iphone 4 was launching, we received an urgent call 2000 hungry people in line, we hustled down to an Apple store and saved allot of people from eating junk food. I think we may have saved lives the temperature was over 80 and people were waiting for over 10 hours.
If you have any great ideas for stops let us know. We want to save you from Fast Food.
Checkout the vid below of the 3rd Street Promenade, Iphone Launch day!

I am not sure who has heard about the city “LA Council District 4 Councilman Tom Lebonge: friend of the celebrity, foe of the small businessman. Tom has introduced a motion to keep Los Angelinos’ favorite food trucks from delivering their curbside cuisine. This is how we feel…
At World Fare we believe that people should have access to great food. We created an experience that uses the freedom of the streets to bring this amazing food to the hungry. The popularity of the food trucks speaks to what the public demands, to take the trucks away from the public is unacceptable. The US needs innovation and entrepreneurship in these economic times, why try and regulate entrepreneurship out of the market?
